Common questions
Can I just swap my two-prong outlets for three-prong?
Not without a ground. A three-prong outlet with no ground behind it looks safe and isn't. The right fix is either running a ground or putting in a GFCI and labeling it. We'll tell you which makes sense for your house.
Is it worth calling an electrician for one outlet?
Yes. If you have a few small jobs, it's worth doing them in the same visit.
